Video Transcript for Ultra-Fab Trailers and RV Leveling Blocks Review

What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to check out the Ultra-Fab, ultra levelers. These are leveling blocks to get your rig nice and level on uneven ground. So when you get to the campsite you see it's not exactly level, you don't want to be in your camper or RV that's like sideways walking around it all day. These are going to go underneath your jacks and under your tire to level it out.

Let's check them out. We've all seen this set up at the campsite, people using woodblocks to help level out their RV or camper, it's not an option. You really shouldn't do that, the wood's going to collect moisture or rot over time and fail on you. That's why we're using these leveling blocks today, they have a heavy duty plastic.I just want to show you, I'm trying to bend it. That's how thick.. It is.

If it was a flimsy plastic, you'd see me bend it or bow it a little bit. It's not happening. I kind of drop it on the ground a couple of times. I know you can't feel the weight but you might be able to hear that it's not just a high pitch, plastic noise and bouncing around like that. Super heavy duty, it's holding up to that.

So that's going to hold up to underneath your RV or camper. These leveling blocks are eight and a quarter by eight and a quarter. And also they're seven, eight tall up to the bottom of this top peg here, and then a half inch from there. And the reason why I separated that measurement, because when you go to stack them like this and like this, they nest inside of each other, you kind of just see the pack here at the top. They work in a variety of different ways and that's because of design much like blocks. You can see that these holes plug right into here and you've got your shape. So when you're pulling up on there, when you're tired, it's not going to kick one out from underneath each other, they're blocked together.

I can't pull them apart here, so you don't have to worry about them sliding and you can see, we use it over here on our camper today. They're nice and in place, I'll pull on it. It's not going anywhere and it gets you that height you need, but they also versatile so that you can switch it up. You never know the campgrounds aren't always going to be the same, so it's good to be able to have those options when you're on the road or you stack them five high. Now these levelers come in four different packs. You can get a four pack, an eight pack or a 10 pack. Each one comes with a carrying case where you just stack them back up in here and zip it up and then you can just easily throw in a compartment and it's out of the way, but it's with you at all times when you need it. Whichever one you go with though, they are all raised the same 30,000 pounds. Just if you have the eight pack or the 10 pack, don't stack them any higher than five. We've arrived at our campsite and you can already see that the ground is uneven. If you look at the level, you can see just how uneven our ground is. What we're going to want to do with our camper today is level it out and that's what when we just go from side to side, to try and figure that out.So we're going to take one block like this, put it underneath the level. You can see how that evens it out. We're going to do that on a bigger scale with our camper today, by putting our leveling blocks like this and kind of the pyramid stack, and we're going to put it behind our tire, then we're going to back up onto them. And that should get it closer to level and this might take a couple tries to figure out how much you need or how many of the blocks you need stacked up but we're going to start here and see how it works.Looking at our trailer, we actually added a magnetic level, we carry, to see how uneven it actually is. Alright, so now we're going to go ahead and I'm going to have Joe back up the camper onto the blocks and we'll watch it in action.Stop! You can see we're right on top of those blocks now, they didn't screech on the ground or move at all, they went right up on there and it's holding it pretty good. With our camper pulled up on the blocks, you can see it really did level it all out from side to side and front to back. So now what I'm going to do is lower the jack and detach our camper from our truck. We will have lowered the jack and also make sure you've already wheel chocked the wheels. I did that right before I started doing this. With my truck pulled forward now, I'm going to go ahead and lower the camera back down by the jack and try and get this level more here in the middle.Looks good there. We're going to take two of our blocks, put them underneath the stabilizer jack, that'll just help even things out. With our stabilizer jack making contact with the block, we're just going to go ahead around our camper and do the same thing for each stabilizer jack. Now we're back in their RV to check the level one more time, I'm going to do side to side and then front to back. So we'll just set this down, looks alright, there on side to side, let's try front to back. Awesome! We are completely level, it just goes to show you how easy it is to set up the Ultra-Fab bricks that go together, come apart very easily. It only adds a couple extra steps to your process when you get to a campsite anyway, but now the leveling it out is going to be such a big deal. You're armed with these. You're good to go. I think that does it for our look at the Ultra-Fabs. Hope this helped.

This is the third set of these I have purchased. I carry lots of blocks to level a dually truck camper. Better than most other leveling blocks, but you can still break them in rocky soil or uneven areas.

I have been using these leveling blocks for years. They set up easy, they are light and they take up very little space when stowed. I recently purchased new tires that were slightly wider on my motorhome. I needed the extra width for my rear dualies and the extra leveling blocks fixed the problem.

by:

No more random wood pieces for leveling !

by:

A little less weight than my usual wood blocks. Carry case is a good concept but I don’t think it will hold up very long.

by:

This is my second set of these

by:

They look great. Appear to be very strong. Looking forward to using them for the first time soon!

by:

These levelers are simple to use, very durable, and store quickly. What a difference using them with our 25' class C motorhome. Highly recommend. My order also arrived quickly & shipping method upgraded at no extra charge. Thanks!

Very easy to use. Work great for leveling the camper

Original request for review was upon delivery. I waited. I used the product . . . in all manner of conditions. Now that I've used and abused, it's ok to say: I am pleased. These are the real deal, delivered earlier than promised back when I got them, and doing a better (flawless) job than even I (an admitted grouch about quality) expected. They are solid, versatile, and one of those items you say to yourself "I did right getting those". Good, quality product.

Tim, Ive been reading about the colored levelers, and I read that Orange are no good, yellow is the best, but are you showing Blue and saying they are far superior, and will not break... we have 28 dual axel. 7000lbs.ksocks

I finally got tired of using blocks of wood to level up my R.V., cheap yes but they take up a lot of room. So I ordered two sets of these blocks from e-trailer and glad I did. I've gotten great service from them before and they didn't let me down this time either. When I ordered them I wars told they would ship December 21st. Then I received another e-mail saying they were back ordered and would ship January the 4th. Still no problem, wasn't needing them right away. The next day I received a message that they had been shipped the day I was told they were back ordered. I recieve them on the 24th and now I can't wait to use them. Thanks e-trailer, I'm going to go clean out the wood pieces and store these right away.

by:

These blocks have saved us so many times, I can not tell you. From when we are told that the RV parking is "All Concrete Pad" just to arrive and find out that only 1/2 the pad is concrete (so the blocks make it so our rig is level). To parking in the rain and starting out level, to waking to our heads being smooshed against the headboard as our rig settled into the mud-Blocks to the rescue!

Great purchase. Buy two sets, you will NEED them!

by:

The leveling blocks arrived just in time for our first camping trip, the blocks work really well. The trailer is about 8,000 pounds loaded the blocks had no problem with the weight.
Also can't beat the price, quick shipping and the follow up from George at Etrailer was exceptional!

by:

The blocks fit together neatly and securely, should function exactly as intended. They're surprisingly heavy, which bodes well for their strength for the job, though the tire loading on my small teardrop isn't much. They should last for years! Next outing starts tomorrow, we'll soon see.
etrailer was, as usual, fast and friendly.

by:

Had three break (explode) while leveling our 5th wheel on a lot containing compacted sand in Florida. Never had this issue with orange Lynx Leveling Blocks.

by:

A must to carry for leveling, under your jack stand, under the leveling jacks. Rugged item!!! Helps to protect damage to asphalt as they prevent sinking in.

by:

These leveling blocks work well in function, but are not as durable as I expected. They need protection on any gravel surface to avoid damage. I've needed to add plywood pads under them.

by:

LOVE LOVE LOVE these. They are so nice and compact. Having the case to keep them all in one spot is a huge plus. My husband said he likes we don't have to carry a bunch of wood around in the pickup truck. The camper backs up nicely onto them. We also use them under our stabilizing jacks.

by:

I have as of yet used my camper. I did put the mirrors on my truck and they look really nice as well as gives me a great view of the traffic. the leveling blocks look like they will work very well. No more planks for leveling and that great with me.

by:

We not only use them for tire leveling but trailer stabilizer bottom supports.

Instead of hauling heavy 6"x6" wood blocks, solid construction plastic blocks is cheaper. It's all about weight when towing a camper!

by:

Work very well for RV leveling adjustments allowing me to replace heavy bulky wood with these nifty light blocks.

by:

Easy to use. Durable. Excellent purchas e.

by:

I'm Very happy with my product I purchased, and I Highly recommend the Fab leveling Blocks and Scissor Jacks . Thank you for your service a speedy delivery. Best Regards

  • Comparing Anderson Rapid Jacks # AM3620 and # AM3604 For Trailer Leveling
The difference between Andersen Rapid Jack # AM3620 and # AM3604 is not only the height but the length. The Rapid Jack # AM3620 is 17 inches long whereas # AM3604 is 15 inches long. This small difference means that the longer one will not fit as a leveler of multi-axle trailers. Otherwise they are pretty much the same. Another option is to use Ultra-Fab leveling blocks # UF48-979051. There are 10 included and each is 7/8 inches tall. This will allow you incremental leveling. I have included...

  • How to Get Trailer Level When Parked on Decline
Instead of using an uneven, unreliable piece of wood, I recommend checking out the Ultra-Fab Leveling Blocks # UF48-979051. These blocks are 8-1/4" wide x 8-1/4" long x 7/8" tall and you can position them under your jack and/or wheels to get your trailer level; there is also the option of using independent electric jacks, though that is an expensive upgrade and these blocks should work to get you level. I've added links to video reviews of these blocks for you to check out as well.

  • Can the Andersen Camper Leveler be Used on a Triple Axle 5th Wheel Trailer
Because of the travel of the suspension on a trailer, using just one leveler, # AM3604, would not provide enough lift in most circumstances. It would be difficult to use more than one per side on a triple axle trailer so I recommend going with a different type of leveler. Take a look at the Ultra-Fab Leveling Blocks, # UF48-979051. That's a really good question, and while it may be technically possible to use the Fastway ONEstep Wheel Chocks for Tandem-Axle Trailers and RVs # FA84-00-4840 with blocks like the Ultra-Fab Leveling Blocks # UF48-979051, the issue is going to be how the ONEstep sets up. You could set up the wheel chocks, and with them staggered put the ONEstep in between them, but blocks like the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979051 are designed for the tires to grip them, and since they aren't flat on the surface...
